Victorian Government's position on clearfell logging contentious forest areas.

The offical position of the Victorian Government for the forests of Eastern Victoria is there are four Regional Forest Agreements in place to allow clearfell logging to occur for a 20 year period.

However in 2002 the Bracks government did tear up the West Regional Forest Agreement and created the Great Otways National Park.

Hence anything is possible.
