VRN Campaign Background, the successful Otways experience
Over the past decade, conservationists working in the Otways focused on Otway Cool Temperate Rainforests and the issue of protecting these rainforests from logging practices.
Conservationists successfully lobbied for the rare Otways rainforests to be protected in a National Park.
The Otway rainforest campaign success prompted conservationists to set up a Victorian state-wide rainforest watchdog called the Victorian Rainforest Network (VRN).
