Murrungowar (Site: 52)

Site of Regional Significance
Warm Temperate Rainforest

Remnant Warm Temperate Rainforest on fertile soil, given most been cleared or disturbed.

Made up of approximately four small subcatchments that run along a stepped escarpment. Recent logging (last few years) in one sub-catchment has cut up the site, however other individual sub-catchments are still in good condition. Two southern sub-catchments have varying degrees of protection - one protected by an informal Special Protection Zone and the other by an Special Management Zone.

(Note: Rainforest EVC colour code is not consistent for all images.)
