The Victorian Rainforest Network (VRN)

The Victorian Rainforest Network (VRN) is an independent and politically unaligned network of rainforest enthusiasts, researchers and activists with a shared interest in rainforest conservation and education across Victoria.

Its primary aim is to secure the effective conservation of threatened rainforests throughout Victoria.

The VRN seeks to realise its goals by:

1) facilitating rapid information sharing among conservation groups involved with or interested in rainforest issues

2) promoting independent research into rainforest threats and appropriate policy and management responses

3) conduct educational and community awareness campaigns- which include expert guided field trips, flora and fauna surveys, a professional webpage and regular public presentations

4) politically engage government and forest managers to ensure all Rainforest Sites of Significance are effectively protected

5) support rainforest fundraising activities
